If you haven’t heard of Totes Babies (which means that you missed the Shark Tank episode that they were on) then you will want to keep reading! I asked Lindsey a handful of questions and let her run with it. I am so excited for you all to meet her and learn how your life just got a bit easier.

Please introduce yourself:

My name is Lindsey Fleischhauer and I was born and raised in Rockford, IL yet have been living in Naperville, IL now for over 16 years and absolutely love it!  I’ve been married to my husband Mark for almost 7 years and we have 2 beautiful boys Landon and Logan who definitely keep us on our toes at ages 5 and 3! We are also expecting our 3rd baby boy early spring!

I love spending time with family and friends and living life to the fullest! I can honestly say that I love to work and running Totes Babies, since we launched 4 years ago with my dad, has been a dream come true! 

Ok, tell me more about Totes Babies. How did you come up with the idea? What made you go for it? And how was it to be on Shark Tank? 

I thought of the idea for the Totes Babies Car Seat Carrier when my now 5-year-old was just a baby still in his car seat. Going to the store with him would always make me anxious because I could never get everything I wanted due to the car seat taking up all of the cart space. I tried baby-wearing and he would cry the whole time. I just wanted an option where I could have full cart space yet have him in something that is super safe, simple, and adjustable to different carts. When I thought of the idea I sketched out a really amateur sketch and showed my dad who holds over 40 patents!

The two of us worked together and that’s how Totes Babies started! I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur and I love thinking of new ideas so once we started I never looked back!

We’ve also recently launched our Totes Babies boogie bracelets which are super fun! Each little ball opens up to store smaller items (such as tissues, wipes, snacks, change, candy..etc.). The Boogie bracelet comes in 3 different colors and looks super cute attached to any bag! No more digging in your purse for what you need right away! We’re constantly thinking of new inventions and ideas so stay tuned!

Being on Shark Tank was amazing and required a lot of preparation. Preparation is truly the key to success. Patience is a virtue as we had to be VERY patient throughout the months of the whole process. We are so grateful for the opportunity to be on Shark Tank. We took everything the sharks had to say and implemented ideas right away! It was a dream come true!

My kids are older and are no longer in the carrier, but I wish that I had one when my oldest was a baby. Where can mamas find Totes Babies products? Do you have a direct link to share?
